Amari Rideaux isn’t shy about what he believes he can become. The John F. Kennedy High School junior sees himself as a young athlete with plenty of potential — and he’s determined to turn that potential into something bigger.
A member of the Class of 2028, Rideaux contributes as both a wide receiver and kick returner, giving Kennedy another playmaker who can impact the game with the ball in his hands.
For Rideaux, football is also part of a bigger goal. He hopes to continue his athletic career after high school, with aspirations of playing either college football or basketball.
His motivation goes beyond sports. Rideaux says simply having the opportunity to wake up each morning and experience another day pushes him to make the most of every opportunity.
“What motivates me is being blessed to wake up every day and live life to the fullest,” Rideaux said.
That mindset has helped shape the confidence he carries into his athletic career. He knows there is still plenty of work ahead, but he wants people around Sacramento to remember his name as he continues developing.
“I want people to know I’m something special in the making,” Rideaux said.
For Rideaux, the journey is still in its early stages. But with college athletics as the destination and a mindset centered around making the most of every opportunity, he’s determined to show exactly what he can become.
