For Asante Jackson, the motivation to improve comes from family, personal ambition and a desire to discover how far basketball can take him. The Destiny Christian Academy sophomore is building toward that future with a clear commitment to putting in the work.
Standing 6-foot-3, the Class of 2029 player reports averaging 20–25 points, three rebounds, five assists and one steal per game last season. His scoring highlights his offensive production, while his five assists per game reflect his ability to help create opportunities for teammates.
But Jackson’s focus extends beyond what he has already accomplished. He wants to become a high-level basketball player, and he understands that reaching that goal requires continued development.
“My goal is to become a high-level basketball player and keep improving every day,” Jackson said.
That daily pursuit is rooted in the people closest to him and the possibilities he sees ahead. His family gives him a reason to keep pushing, while his own goals give that effort direction.
“What motivates me is my family, my goals, and wanting to see how far I can take basketball,” Jackson said.
With much of his high school career still ahead, Jackson has time to develop his game and build on last season’s production. His ambitions are big, but the message he wants people to understand about him is straightforward.
“I’m a hard worker and I’m always willing to put in the work to get better,” he said.
At Destiny Christian Academy, Jackson is approaching his future one day at a time, determined to turn that willingness to work into continued growth on the court.
