For Azlynn Basquez, the motivation to keep improving begins with her love for volleyball.
The Folsom High School senior in the Class of 2027, who also plays for OMNI Volleyball Club, has set her sights on competing at the NCAA Division I level. As she works toward that goal, she wants to strengthen her game, grow as a leader and help her team succeed.
“What motivates me is my love for volleyball and the opportunity to keep pushing myself to compete at the highest level,” Basquez said.
That drive gives her a clear direction. Her ambitions include developing the leadership skills that allow her to contribute beyond her own performance. Becoming a stronger presence on the court and supporting her teammates are central to the player she wants to become.
“I’m passionate about continuing to improve my game, becoming a stronger leader on the court, and helping my team succeed,” she said.
With her senior year underway, Basquez is looking toward the next chapter while remaining focused on her development. Playing Division I volleyball is her main goal, and she approaches that pursuit with enthusiasm for the sport and a desire to challenge herself.
Her outlook also carries a sense of gratitude. The chance to share her story is an opportunity to recognize a journey she hopes will continue well beyond high school.
“I’m excited to see where volleyball takes me and grateful for opportunities like this to share my journey,” Basquez said.
For Basquez, the path forward is shaped by clear priorities: improve her skills, become a stronger leader and help her team succeed. Those goals give purpose to her pursuit of college volleyball.
