CLASS OF 2030 | FS/WR | FOOTBALL
Billionaire Pollins is only beginning his high school football career, but the Class of 2030 freshman is already making an impact on the field while keeping his priorities centered on faith, family and continued development.
Playing both free safety and wide receiver, Pollins has shown his ability to contribute on both sides of the football. Defensively, he has recorded four interceptions and nine solo tackles through four games, establishing himself as a young playmaker in the secondary.
For Pollins, however, football represents much more than statistics or individual recognition. He embraces the competition, the constant pursuit of improvement and the opportunity to help the players around him get better.
“Football is more than a game to me,” Pollins said. “I thrive on the competition and the opportunity to constantly improve while helping my teammates improve as well.”
The brotherhood that comes with football has also become an important part of his experience. Pollins values the trust built between teammates and the satisfaction that comes when months of preparation translate into stronger performances and team success.
Through the game, he says he has learned lessons in perseverance, leadership and accountability — qualities he wants to carry with him beyond the football field.
Much of Pollins’ motivation comes from his family. His father played the same sports he competes in today and understands firsthand the work required to succeed. Pollins credits his father with continually challenging him to improve and encouraging him to accomplish even more.
His grandmother has provided another important source of inspiration, consistently supporting him and sharing her own experiences of overcoming challenges.
As Pollins looks toward the years ahead, his goals are ambitious. He wants to continue putting God first, develop into a next-level football player and ultimately earn the opportunity to play for Ohio State University.
With four years of high school ahead of him, Pollins is focused on building his game one step at a time while establishing the work ethic, leadership and character he wants his name to represent.
