Greyson Carvalho is gaining experience on both sides of the ball at Oak Ridge High School. The Class of 2029 sophomore plays tight end, fullback and linebacker for the Trojans’ junior varsity football team, taking on multiple responsibilities as he builds toward his goals.
So far this season, Carvalho has recorded three touchdowns, 150 yards and five tackles. His offensive roles give him opportunities to contribute from different positions, while linebacker brings another set of responsibilities on defense.
For Carvalho, the motivation to keep improving comes from the people around him.
“I am motivated by my teammates, coaches, and family because they want the best from me and hold me to a higher standard,” he said.
That support gives his ambitions a personal foundation. The expectations of teammates, guidance of coaches and encouragement of family all play a part in what he hopes to accomplish at Oak Ridge.
“My goal is to win a state championship at Oak Ridge and extend my football career past high school,” Carvalho said.
Those goals reach beyond his current JV season. For now, Carvalho is building experience across three positions and contributing on both offense and defense. As his high school career continues, he hopes to turn that foundation into an opportunity to compete at the next level.
