Granite Bay High School linebacker Hallie Tapuosi has built an impressive resume through production, consistency and leadership. The Class of 2027 standout is a two-time SFL Defensive MVP, two-time First Team All-League selection, Team MVP and team captain.
For Tapuosi, however, her role goes beyond individual recognition. She takes pride in being someone younger athletes can look up to, especially girls who are continuing to find more opportunities in sports.
“A big thing for me is being a leader and setting an example for the younger girls coming up,” Tapuosi said. “I want them to see that if you work hard and stay confident, there are so many opportunities out there for girls in sports.”
That leadership has become a major part of her identity at Granite Bay. As a captain, Tapuosi understands the importance of setting the tone with her preparation, attitude and effort.
Her success has also given her a platform to show younger athletes what can come from staying committed to the process.
Tapuosi’s goals now extend beyond high school. She wants to continue competing at the next level while also placing a strong emphasis on her education and personal growth.
“My goal is to keep playing at the next level, get my degree, and just keep growing on and off the field,” Tapuosi said.
Even with the individual honors already attached to her name, Tapuosi remains focused on what comes next.
“I’m excited for what’s next and super grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had so far,” she said.
As her high school career continues, Tapuosi is looking to leave an impact that reaches beyond tackles and awards. She wants her example to show the next generation of female athletes that confidence, hard work and leadership can create opportunities both on and off the field.
