Jaxson Harris has already made his mark at Oak Ridge High School. The 6-foot-4 point guard earned a varsity spot as a freshman and SFL All-League Second Team honors, building an early foundation for a basketball career he hopes will continue well beyond high school.
Now a sophomore in the Class of 2029, Harris has his sights set on playing Division I college basketball. He understands that reaching that goal requires continued development, and he is committed to improving his game every day through hard work, dedication and perseverance.
Behind that commitment is a strong connection to his family.
“My parents and sisters are my biggest motivation, along with my desire to prove the people who doubt me wrong,” Harris said.
That combination of family support and personal determination fuels his approach to the sport. Basketball is a passion he is willing to work for, and his ambitions give that daily effort a clear purpose.
His varsity experience and all-league recognition are meaningful accomplishments early in his high school journey. With much of that journey still ahead, Harris wants to keep building on what he has achieved while growing as both a player and a person.
For the Oak Ridge guard, the next step is continuing the work that can bring his Division I dream closer.
