Eli Delgado is beginning his high school volleyball journey with a clear goal: play at the Division I level. The Jesuit High School freshman wants to take his game beyond high school, and his competitive drive is a central part of that ambition.
A member of the Class of 2030, Delgado is a 5-foot-8 outside hitter. With his high school career ahead of him, he has time to develop his skills and work toward the level of competition he hopes to reach.
When asked what motivates him, Delgado’s answer is direct: “Winning motivates me because I love winning and hate losing.” That desire to compete gives him a reason to keep pursuing his goals.
Reaching Division I volleyball will require sustained development and consistent effort. For Delgado, it is a long-term target that gives his high school journey direction.
As he begins this chapter at Jesuit, Delgado brings a competitive mindset and an ambition that extends beyond the present. His goal is established. The years ahead are his opportunity to work toward it.
