For Julian Henry, progress begins with the effort nobody sees. The Valley High School sophomore approaches his athletic journey with a belief that opportunities must be earned through hard work, discipline and a willingness to keep improving.
A member of the Class of 2029, Henry credits his coaches for helping him reach this point. Their guidance has shaped his development, and he recognizes the importance of the people who have invested in him along the way.
Henry’s goal is to help his team reach the playoffs. While personal improvement motivates him, he wants that growth to contribute to something his teammates can accomplish together. Teamwork is central to the values he brings to athletics.
Winning also drives Henry, but he embraces the challenge of earning each opportunity. He values pushing himself, putting in consistent effort and finding ways to become better every day.
“I believe progress isn’t given; it’s earned in the hard work nobody sees,” Henry said.
That belief connects his individual ambitions with his team’s goals. As he continues his journey at Valley, Henry is focused on the work he can control and the improvement that can help his team move forward.
