Competition is what keeps Keion Kado pushing forward.
The Class of 2029 wide receiver at Mira Loma High School in Sacramento has recorded more than 1,000 total yards and over 25 touchdowns across two years, earning Third Team All-Metro recognition along the way. Now a sophomore, Kado brings that experience into the next chapter of his high school career.
When asked what motivates him, Kado’s answer was direct: “Competition.”
That motivation gives a personal dimension to his accomplishments. For Kado, the opportunity to compete is what drives him, and his production reflects a player who has found ways to make an impact. His yardage and touchdown totals represent two years of contributions, while his All-Metro recognition adds another achievement to his résumé.
At Mira Loma, Kado is still early in his high school journey. With experience already behind him and time ahead to develop, the sophomore receiver has a foundation to build on.
His story so far is defined by production and a straightforward source of motivation: the challenge of competition.
