For Mason Voong, arriving at Christian Brothers High School marks a new beginning. The Class of 2030 combo guard enters his freshman year eager to develop his game, become a stronger leader, and establish himself on the court.
At 5-foot-7, Voong describes shooting range as a strength and reports averaging around 14 points per game. As he begins his high school journey, he wants to build on that foundation while growing into a player who can lead others.
“Coming to Christian Brothers is a new beginning for me, and I’m excited to grow as both a player and a person,” Voong said.
His goals extend beyond scoring. Improving his overall game and learning to lead are priorities as he approaches the next four years. For Voong, making a name for himself starts with being willing to work and recognizing how much there is still to learn.
Basketball itself provides much of that motivation. His love for the sport, his family’s influence, and his desire to show what he can accomplish give him reasons to keep pushing forward.
“What motivates me is my love for basketball, my family, and wanting to prove what I’m capable of,” he said.
Voong understands that those ambitions will require consistent effort. Entering a new school and beginning his high school career bring opportunities to learn, and he is approaching that transition with enthusiasm and a willingness to improve.
“I know there’s a lot of hard work ahead of me, but I’m ready to put in the effort and make the most of these next four years,” Voong said.
With his freshman chapter underway, Voong has a clear focus: sharpen his skills, grow as a teammate and leader, and make the most of his opportunity at Christian Brothers.
“This is just the beginning for me!”
