Sacramento United striker Silas Moore is entering the new season looking to build on an impressive year and establish himself as one of the club’s top attacking threats.
Moore currently plays for Sacramento United U19 MLS NEXT HOMEGROWN, lining up as the No. 9. Through the first two games of the season, he has already recorded one goal and two assists, giving him a strong start as he looks to surpass his production from a year ago.
Last season, Moore led his team in both goals and assists, finishing with 14 goals and 10 assists for 24 total goal contributions. He also delivered against high-level competition, scoring two goals against FC Dallas Academy and recording two assists against the Portland Timbers Academy.
This season, Moore has set his sights even higher. His individual goal is to reach 25 combined goals and assists, surpassing the 24 he recorded last year. At the team level, he wants to help Sacramento United earn a place in the MLS NEXT Cup.
Moore is also focused on taking the next step in his soccer career by getting in contact with college coaches and creating opportunities to compete at the collegiate level.
Known for his speed and versatility, Moore says he has reached a top speed of 21.5 mph. But what continues to motivate him most is seeing the progress he makes on the field.
For Moore, every training session and match is another opportunity to improve. With a productive season already underway, he is focused on continuing to develop, helping Sacramento United compete at a high level and putting himself in position for the next chapter of his soccer career.
